Thursday Thriver: Gemma Gosden

Hi I’m Gemma + I co-run The Seashack with Shirley. We support women’s wellness through our products, workshops, courses and coaching/mentoring.

I’ve spent years studying positive psychology + becoming more self aware. I’ve always wanted to start my own business and becoming a Mother gave me the opportunity to reassess my working life. When I spotted Keri’s free Thrive challenge I had to take part – anything self development is very exciting for me! Little did I know that the week would blow me away. I encountered blocks I had no idea I was feeling! When it came to committing to the full Thrive course I talked myself out of it as was very usual for me. I couldn’t justify the money on myself; What if I didn’t commit to it? What if I didn’t feel any different at the end? But something inside of me couldn’t leave it there so I followed my excitement and signed up!

Thrive was the best decision I could have made for myself and for our business. I got to know myself better than ever before and really started to look at what I wanted my life to look like. I started to break down the limitations I’d been putting on myself and really saw myself in a different light. Keri provided us with continued support + a non judgemental space to explore everything we thought we were and wanted to be.

This has allowed me to commit to things I thought I’d never be able to do in our business such as run a workshop + speak at a retreat. These are both things I’d never have considered possible before Thrive.

The value I found from working in a group was also mind blowing. I’ve made some amazing connections and friends and we all continue to support each other a year on.

I would highly recommend Thrive to anyone who is feeling that spark for change and is ready to commit to creating the life they deserve to live.
