We can't raise our children to be independent and socially functioning young adults if they can't make their own mistakes and learn what to do when they do - what to do with the feelings mistakes can stir up, how to respond to people around them when mistakes happen and effect others and that mistakes are normal and part of life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It's our job to create a safe place to help them play out and feel their emotions and know that it's OK to have them. Making mistakes is part of that.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

So what are the key areas of the breast?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Fatty Breast Tissue - Fat cells are located throughout the breast, between milk ducts and under the skin to provide cushioning. The amount of fatty tissue determines breast size but does not contribute to the production or transportation of milk.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Lobules - Surrounded by a mesh of cells the lobules; alveoli glands, produce milk. Hormone response signals cause the muscles of the cells to contract and squeeze the milk down the ducts. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Milk Ducts - Milk flows through the ducts which acts as transport system. Milk moves through the ducts and out through the nipple pores.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Areola - The areola is a darker circular area around the nipple that varies in size from one person to another. Montgomery glands surround this area and secrete an oily substance, this not only acts as a lubricant and moisturiser for the breast but gives a scent in which your baby will recognise. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nipple - The nipple is made up of smooth muscle fibres, it is flexible and able to mold to the babies mouth. Nipple pores at the end of the nipple enable the milk to leave the breast. Did you know there is on average 2-18 pores! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
