A chance to get the daddies involved!

The relationship between your tiny babies & their daddies is one which is so special & needs to be nurtured & encouraged. Parenthood needs to be about teamwork, so what better way to get the dads on board than with a fun, relaxed & informal workshop where the dads get together to enjoy some daddy relaxation and learn how to MASSAGE LIKE A FATHER using Developmental Baby Massage, whilst the mums can relax, connect with each other, enjoy a light brunch & sip bucks fizz. Each month sees an incredible special guest join us to share their knowledge & wisdom on all things baby related. 2019 is going to be an exciting year for this event. We want to ensure all our parents leave happy, relaxed and confident in their new found skills they can take home and use to make their parenting journey that little bit easier. A full tummy and a smile on their face also goes a long way!! Its a family workshop NOT to be missed!

Yoga for kids aged 2-4!
Through stories, songs and games, this class will introduce children to some of the poses we practise in yoga. Using yoga techniques and philosophy we will encourage fine and gross motor skills development as well as creating a positive space for all that incredible toddler energy!

Bring your baby along to learn this soft developmental baby massage routine which teaches you different strokes, touches & techniques to relax them and develop their muscle strength & joint flexibility. The massage helps with their development but also gives you the opportunity to enjoy some precious mummy/baby time, as well as encourage more enjoyable tummy time. Enjoy our informal space and soak up the mummy relaxation & support on offer. Connect with other mummies over tea and cake. Suitable for babies from 6 weeks (provided they have had their 6 week HV check & have no headlag) up to 1 year. Although DBM can benefit babies up to the standing/walking stage, it’s important to note that classes are best suited to babies who are not crawling yet.
This class is particularly great if you have a school run to do!

Pregnancy Yoga & Birth Prep

All equipment provided, classes are yoga based postures and movements to help pregnancy be more comfortable, learn tips and techniques to help during pregnancy, for birth and motherhood.  Knowledge is shared that can be used during birth and can compliment other antenatal classes.

Introduction to Postnatal Pilates @ Do it Like a Mother HQ

Our introduction to postnatal pilates course provides new mums in Essex with a toolkit of various tips to aid them in everyday tasks such as protecting your back when picking baby up.

Each week, there is a different focus point which is relevant to the postnatal body and how to improve things like posture, the pelvic floor etc.  (remember, knowledge is power!) and the idea is that you don’t just come along to Pilates once a week and then leave it there until the next week.

Postnatal Pilates @ Do it Like a Mother HQ

Postnatal Pilates is a six week follow-on course, designed to be followed after the Introduction to Postnatal Pilates Course.

It’s a full Pilates session where we continue to work on healing the postnatal body and regaining strength, focussing on the abdominals, pelvic floor and posture. Again, we are practising on exercises that strengthen the muscles that we are using most as a mum so that everyday tasks are easier and we have less back pain.

Cake Club @ Do it Like a Mother HQ

Come along with your babies and toddlers for cake, coffee and moral support. Sling advice and hire available as well as infant feeding support and general parenting solidarity. No judgment, just cake.

YOGA KIDS @ Do it Like a Mother HQ

Yoga for kids aged 4-8.
Using yoga poses and mindful exercises, I will introduce the children to the benefits of keeping your mind and body healthy ans strong. We will explore the capabilities of our big and loud actions and emptions and learn to listen to our smaller, quieter ones. All while having lots of fun and games of course!
