It can be tough and one of the times when your well-being should be top and centre but often falls to the bottom of your thoughts.

At Do It Like A Mother, we understand the pressures that come with pregnancy, birth, and parenting AND WE'RE HERE TO HELP YOU NAVIGATE IT.

The experience of becoming a parent is one of the most demanding in our lives, filled with a rollercoaster of emotions and challenges. One minute it's elating, full of happiness and contentment. The next it's full of guilt, worry, dissapointment, fustration and anger.

Becoming a parent is also one of the most scrutinised phases of life. The moment you announce your impending parenthood, everyone seems to have an opinion. Well-meaning advice, intrusive questions, and societal expectations can become overwhelming.

Pregnancy, birth, and parenting bring significant changes. Matrescence, the journey to motherhood, will touch every aspect of your life—socially, culturally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. We're here to help you navigate this transformation, gain confidence, trust your instincts, and embrace your intuition.

To do this, your well-being as a parent is so very important yet it usually falls to the bottom of everything as soon as your little one is born. Well-being covers a vast range of areas so we help you define what it means for you in order for you to put YOU top and centre because when your well-being takes center stage, it positively influences your family's overall well-being too.

Our approach isn't about prescribing what you should do; there is an abundance of that to easily get your hands on already; at Do It LIke A Mother we're about empowering you with knowledge and tools so YOU can make the right decisions for YOU.

We aim to shift your perspective on parenthood, your identity as a parent, and your well-being.

Our mission is simple: you don't need to conform or worry about judgment. Do It Like A Mother is more than a place to come together and to find the information you need; it's a movement designed to empower and connect you throughout your parenting journey. Here, you can embrace your unique path, access the information you need, and make decisions that suit your family, free from external pressures.

EVERY parent matters here at Do It Like A Mother and we provide information and support in pregnancy, birth and parenting that is REAL. The good, the bad, the ugly truths and different perspectives.


This is a community of Parents that invites every parent to join, NO EXCEPTIONS.

This growing community was founded in 2013 (formerly HypnoBirthdays) by Keri Jarvis.

Chloe Mulholland joined in 2017, and in 2019, Chloe Westmore came on board.

Mindfulness was added to the roster in 2019 by Natalie Cahillane.

In early 2020, Charli Davies took the reins from Keri and shortly after Kelly Woodyatt added Pilates too.

In June 2021 Dawn McCarthy joined as our Funded Places Coordinator and in 2023 Kelly Woodyatt added more hypnobirthing classes to the timetable.

Since 2020 we’ve welcomed more FAB and LOVELY people and businesses to run classes and workshops at DILAM HQ to provide you with a wide ranging and FULL timetable.
